Mary Frances (Theisen) Fayfield
Fayfield, Mary Frances Theisen Mary was born on May 12, 1940 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and passed away on December 1, 2020 at the age of 80, surrounded by her loved ones. A force in so many lives, Mary was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Robert W. Fayfield, children Robert T. Fayfield (Jeanne), Molly F. Erdahl (Lars), Bradford W. Fayfield (Deirdre), her 9 beloved grandchildren, and her sister Phoebe Ruona. Mary attended the Academy of Holy Angels, Southwest High School, the University of Minnesota, and St. Mary's University (Rochester). After graduating from St. Mary's nursing program, Mary worked as a nurse, later taking a position as a flight attendant during "the golden age" of air travel. In 1964, Mary wed the love of her life, her fifth grade boyfriend, Robert W. Fayfield. Mary knew where she stood on every issue and was unwavering in her convictions. She fervently believed in the American way and the importance of hard work, recognized potential in others, and helped change many lives by providing support and opportunity to those seeking self-betterment and growth. Mary's discreet acts of generosity and philanthropy have left an indelible mark on countless lives. Mary lived with an unbridled sense of adventure, and she will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to have joined in her journey. A private memorial gathering is planned for the summer of 2021.
